Our chrome trim strips are equipped with a double-sided acrylic adhesive tape from 3M, which is characterized by very good adhesion to a variety of automotive surfaces, good internal strength, excellent long-term stability and very good adaptability to the surfaces to be glued. As can be seen from the article description of the 3M Scotch Acrylic Foam 4229 P, you should strictly follow the processing instructions given when bonding: Clean, grease-free, smooth surfaces, minimum contact pressure and minimum temperature are decisive for the quality of the bond. Test gluing must be carried out beforehand at a suitable location to ensure that our chrome strips are suitable for your application. As mentioned in the data sheet, we also accept no liability for your gluing. 3M is the best adhesive tape available on the market for these applications and cannot be compared with the often unspecified adhesive tapes from other manufacturers.
We make sure that our chrome decorative strips are really equipped with 3M Scotch Acrylic Foam 4229 from America and not with some fake China 3M that really looks deceptively real.
